The Asheville Vortex

The Asheville Vortex

when my family and i drove through asheville on a road trip, we had been directly and indirectly searching for home for years. we were living in virginia at the time and almost as soon as we drove into the city limits we felt the pull of this magical place. it felt like home like nothing and nowhere else had in my entire life!

the magic of this place just continues. love the vortex and it loves you back!

Tree's comment:

I hear this kind of thing from people all the time. I even had one client tell me exactly where she wanted to purchase land for a healing spa because she sensed healing in that area as if there were a vortex.

Page Bryant, author of Spiritual Reawakening of the Great Smoky Mountains describes a vortex as, “a high-energy place where natural planetary power has coagulated into an intensely powerful mass or cone of energy."

Some say one reason for the vortices in this area is all the quartz in the ground.

Bryant says there are 24 active vortices in the Asheville area.

What she says about them is, "The electromagnetic charge brings balance to the human body and mind. The energy here can heal. In fact, I believe this is one of the most intense and potent healing areas of the entire planet."

Some characteristics of this kind of electromagnetic terrain are a place with four distinct seasons, waterfalls, rich plant life, lots of rainfall, hills and mountains. These are all geographically characteristic of the Asheville area.

That's very interesting because way back at the turn of the last century, Asheville gained popularity as a place to come for healing. Hospitals and sanitariums were built here to help people with physical, emotional and mental needs.

I had come to asheville after researching "new age towns" on the eastern side of the US. As soon as I drove into Asheville I immediately noticed the difference in the air, it was as if I was breathing fresh air for the first time. My mood was elevated instantaneously. I felt comforted and at home.
The second time around to Asheville was almost a year later, this time coming for yoga training for three weeks. The training was intense but my spirit was stronger than ever before, i was able to do things I never thought I would. The air and energy here cannot properly be described in words. The closest would be to say its truly *MAGICAL* When I was driving back to Florida I began to feel physically sick, like I was loosing my natural enviornment. I hope to call this place home for good one day, its truly amazing and I am so grateful to have been able to visit.

Tree's response: It sounds like you belong in Asheville. I hope you can at least visit again soon. Thank you for your story!

What is happening to me?
by: Jeff Hudson

This is the the strangest place I have ever been and also the most wonderful. I have found my home and I never plan on leaving. I came here a month ago to fall in Love with a woman and instead fell in Love with the town and it's people. Their open arm approach to me is so beautiful. Their spirit swirls all around me and envelopes me. I feel like I am back in the womb. God's spirit is magnificent here. God has told me to help the homeless and that is what I will spend the rest of my days doing exactly that. Thank You so much for the joy You all give me. Now my tombstone will not say sad on it, it will say Happy.

Tree's response:
Wonderful story, Jeff. Thanks so much for sharing it.

I wanted to move to NC for my daughter to be able to go to school. We visited the triangle area but never felt a connection. I came home and when looking for other places to live, Asheville kept coming up in web searches.

I told my daughter we needed to drive to Asheville. Not wanting to live in the mountains I was drawn here. We took a road trip and when we drove downtown I knew I was home! I had never felt anything like it before. I felt my heart swell and it felt as if I could breath free. We are moving in 2 months.

Tree's response: Thanks, Jennifer! I love to hear how people find Asheville and how they are drawn to the place. Just let me know if there's any way I can help!
